Maps of Badolato, Soverato and Torre di Ruggiero in Calabria & Italy
Calabria
is the extreme southwestern region of Italy, washed by the Tyrrhenian
Sea and the lonian. It is an essentially mountainous region, with
a high central Apennine ridge, which crosses it lengthwise. The
mountain slopes are overgrown with thick woods. The coastlines present
landscapes of wild beauty.
Each
region in Italy is divided into Provinces. In Calabria, there are
5 provinces shown on the map to the left. Torre is in the southern
most part of Catanzaro, the capital province where the regional
government is located.
The landscape is mixed between the continuous mountainous and hilly parts that dive down almost above the sea, leaving some level lines in the zones where the rivers flow. Two grooves divide the Calabrian peninsula in three rich mountainous groups of green woods, pastures and spring waters. Click here for an insight to the complex morphological structure of Calabria. |
