Our
shores lay testimony to five thousand years of history, from the ancient
Greeks to the Romans and Normans whose castles and churches have resisted
a thousand battles to bear witness to our great culture.
Ours
is a land of unparalleled beauty where some of the highest mountains
in Italy fall into the clearest blue waters in Europe. Tourism in Calabria
has enjoyed the status of Italy's top new destination for the past seven
years. Families, lovers, historians, sports enthusiasts and, of course,
gastronomes all find the very best Italy has to offer. And here, it's
all still real Italian...
As
a place to live or visit, Calabria is a vibrant Region whose charm is
exceeded only by the remarkable people who call it home; and while the
times are changing, the friendliness and hospitality that recall a simpler
era haven't.
Those
of us that live here consider ourselves stewards of this magnificent
land and since Ulysses mythically embarked on our shores millenniums
ago, we have enthusiastically and proudly shared it with our visitors.
